Our History

The departments of the Faculty of Economics and Management have been training specialists since the university was established in 1991 and have made a significant contribution to the development of Kazakhstan’s economy and the field of international relations. The first Dean of the Faculty of Economics was A. Rizakhodzhaev. In subsequent years, the Faculty was headed by A. Ishchanov, M. Rasulov, B. Myrzaliev, S. Ydyrys, M. Toplu, E. Batmaz, Y. Celik, B. Bayram, A. Kuralbayev, G. Mombekova, S. Baimagambetov, D. Kelesbayev, Zh. Akimov, and Y. Uzun. Currently, the Faculty is headed by Dean Anlamasova Makpal Kassymkhanovna. In the year the Faculty was established, there was only one department — the Department of Economic Theory and International Economic Relations. Today, the Faculty consists of the Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting, the Department of Management and Tourism, and the Department of International Relations.
